There were a lot of new faces at yesterday’s Ringlink Macmillan Coffee Morning – and that included members of the team.
We hosted coffee mornings across our regional offices, from Tore to Cupar, and it coincided with training that meant that many of our new team members were in Laurencekirk to share a cuppa and a slice of cake with members.
And we’re delighted to announce that thanks to the incredible generosity of our teams, Ringlink members and the wider community, we raised a grand total of more than £1,500.
This fantastic sum will make a real difference to Macmillan Cancer Support, helping them continue their vital work.
In recent months, we’ve welcomed a host of new employees to our headquarters in Laurencekirk, as well as the regional offices in Elgin, Coupar Angus and Oldmeldrum.
Warm welcome
We were thrilled to see many of our new team members come together for the coffee morning. It was the perfect informal setting to introduce them to the Ringlink community.
A warm welcome to our newest recruits, including:
- Grant Ireland, our new General Manager, joined us in June and is already making a huge impact on our leadership team.
- Melanie Anderson, Head of HR, and Lucy Simpson, HR Intern are leading our newly established HR division, which is a key part of our growth.
- Michelle Lawrie, Skills Development Coordinator, brings a wealth of experience in working with young people.
- Utilities Coordinators Jennifer McBride and Leah Adams have both joined our growing utilities team in Laurencekirk.
- Elizabeth Findon, Contracts Coordinators, and trainee Contracts Coordinator Iona Finlayson have joined the team in Elgin, bringing valuable industry experience from agriculture and logistics.
- Our two new Contracts Coordinators in Coupar Angus – Andy Allison and Imogen Allen – have also hit the ground running, bringing great practical and administrative skills to the team.
- Megan Cowe, our Trainee Contracts Coordinator in Oldmeldrum, is a recent graduate and already a valued member of the Oldmeldrum team.
Managing director Graham Bruce said: “It was fantastic to see such a great turn-out across all our offices. It was a great opportunity to come together, share a cuppa and some cake and make a real difference”.
Group operations manager Gail Robertson – who arranged the event – said: “For us, it’s more than just coffee – it’s about community, compassion and standing alongside those who need support most. A few members of the Ringlink team have benefitted directly from Macmillan’s services, and this is our chance to give back and say thank you.
“It was even more special as we had the chance to welcome so many of our new colleagues at our Laurencekirk headquarters. Their energy and enthusiasm are a fantastic addition to the Ringlink family.
“It’s inspiring to see how a simple coffee morning can bring people together and raise so much for such a vital cause.”
